Israel faces its greatest existential threat in its history.

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , | Posted On Thursday, 27 March 2008 at 22:37

Just finished reading Rabbi Lazer Brody's, Emuna News Special Report: The Sword on Israel's Jugular. Which states the following:
Israel faces its greatest existential threat in its history. At this very moment, every single city, town, and village between the northern border and Dimona is a push-button away from oblivion, for the triple menace of missiles from Syria, Hizbollah, and Iran rest like a sharp sword on Israel's Jugular.
Complete article.
Is there anything we can do? Most of us are hundreds or thousands of miles away, in our own communities; yet our very being cries out: What can we do?
Here my dear brethren are some ideas that we can start putting into action immediately.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, taught us that, yes, there is something we can do.
The Rebbe taught us the power of a mitzvah.
A mitzvah, a G-dly deed, has the power to reach deep into the core of our being--where we are all one, and the physical distance between us is of no consequence. At this core, a positive deed on our part will help bring salvation to a brother and sister in distress.
During past conflicts in the Land of Israel, and during times of danger for the Jewish people, the Rebbe made practical suggestions of mitzvot that would elicit G-d's blessings and protection.
Let us not underestimate the power of good! With a single good deed on our part, here and now, we can each contribute toward the victory and safety of our fellow Jews in Israel.
Take a minute to do one or more of the following. You can make a difference!
Torah study Say a prayer for the soldiers of the IDF, and for all residents of the Holy Land (suggestion: Psalm 20 is traditionally said in times of distress). Charity and acts of kindness: Put a coin in a charity box, give a gift of money to a fellow in need or to a charitable cause, or extend a helping hand to someone who needs it. Tefillin: If you already put on tefillin every day, encourage a friend to do so. If you don't yet, now is a good time to start!. Mezuzah: If you don't yet have a mezuzah get one now! If you already do have one, it may be time to have it checked to ensure that the words on the parchment have not faded. Tzitzit: start wearing tzitzit even during the night, and even while sleeping.

As Rabbi Brody Say's "Let's invoke Divine compassion by turning the tides of assimilation and spiritual contamination with a worldwide return to Hashem. Our lives depend on it".

Awaken and see the Wonders of Hashem!

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , | Posted On Monday, 28 January 2008 at 13:04

I just finished reading Rabbi Lazer Brody's article on how Hashem has blessed Eretz Yisrael's righteous Torah abiding with veggies and fruit having to be imported in order that they can fulfil the Mitzvah of Shmitta and said to myself, this I must share and hope that my beloved brethren awaken from their slumber and see that Hashem blessed be HE, is with us no mater what and that HE only wants us to return (Teshuvah) to HIM so that HE can do wonders and miracles and our enemies and the whole world can once and for all understand and see that there is only ONE G_D and that us Jews are His chosen people, and that HE IS KING OF THE UNIVERSE.

The secular government should recognise once and for all that whatever they do, they will never, ever be able to stop a righteous Torah abiding Jew from his loyal service to Hashem and that Hashem will always be there for His people.

I really suggest you read this article so that you can see how Hashem takes care of all those that walk in His ways and Mitzvoth.

May this article serve to increase your emunah and make you return to the path of Torah and Mitzvoth and cling to the ONE and ONLY TRUE G_D.

Follow the Torah's directives and you will see that Hashem's Presence will guide you in your studies and bring you through it´s mysteries into a lofty level of Torah consciousness and Divine awareness.

Memorial Chain

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , | Posted On Monday, 7 January 2008 at 13:46

Received the Following Email. QUOTE It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead. He did this because he said in words to this effect: 'Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened' This week, the University of Kentucky removed The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offended' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. This is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving into it. It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the 6 million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way! Now, more than ever, with Iran, among others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets. This e-mail is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide! Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world. Don't just delete this. It will only take a minute to pass this along. UNQUOTE

To Love or not to Love!

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , | Posted On Sunday, 18 November 2007 at 14:18

Just a few days ago the press informed of a Jewish woman, her kids and their few belongings, being dislodged or evicted from the apartment she was living in, by the owner.
The news also stated that an Arab yes an Arab gave her lodging.
What the news did not say, was that no Jew offered her help or any kind of assistance in those terrible moments she was undergoing.
This matter did not give me any peace at all, every now and then it would creep in to my mind making me think about this distressed Jewess.
Can you just for a minute put yourself in the shoes of this distressed Jewess, what must she have been going through in the middle of the street with her kids and their few belongings, not knowing what to do or where to go.
Now also, just imagine what Hashem must have felt when he saw that none of His children ¿us Jews? approached this Jewess and offered to take her and her kids to his house or any other kind of help or assistance.
We also know perfectly well that Hashem does not go around twisting our arms to have us do His Will, and He certainly was not going to leave His daughter stranded on the street with her kids to suffer and feel ashamed and humiliated; so He made an Arab yes an Arab help her out in this difficult situation.
What can we learn from this incident, I would say a lot.
It is more than obvious that we are heading in the wrong direction, that is alienated from Hashem, that we no longer hear Him and are living just thinking on ourselves, I, Me, Myself; feeding our egos to such a point that we are no different from the gentiles.
It seems that we no longer want to comply with one of the most important Mitzvahs:
Leviticus = Vayikra - Chapter 19 18. You shall neither take revenge from nor bear a grudge against the members of your people; "you shall love your neighbour as yourself". I am the Lord. "Giving comes from the holy side of the spiritual spectrum, while taking comes from the impure, dark side".
With all this is that we are living presently, the Arabs wanting to take control over Jerusalem, Jews evicted from their houses in Holy Land by Jews, the constant missile attacks from the Palestinians and Hizballah, the Government's insensible attitude toward the need of the poor in the Eretz Israel, and please do not forget all those children in Eretz Israel that are not able to eat a decent hot meal every day and even go without eating some days and many other things that we just do not want to see and prefer to ignore as long as it does not affect us.
The serious part of this, is that we start asking why Hashem is allowing all this to happen, it is more than obvious that we are alienated from Him and the He is telling us to return to Him and Torah.
The Talmud Yerushalmi - Yoma 1:1 - states: R. Yochanan bar Tora said, "We find that the First Temple was destroyed because the Jews committed idolatry, adultery, and murder. But at the time of the Second Temple, we know that they studied Torah diligently, observed mitzvot meticulously, and possessed all of the good character traits. [Nonetheless, they were exiled] because they loved money and hated one another for no reason; and groundless hatred is worse than these three cardinal sins." As Jerusalem comes to risk, we must stand together in strength and loving kindness for each other. Otherwise, the enemy from within will win before the enemy from without.
It is a spiritual fact, that the day that in Eretz Israel "love your neighbour as yourself" prevails within us, we shall be an example for the nations of the world and the enemies of the Jews will not prevail any longer and the front door will be wide open for Masiach to come.
Blessings
