A prudent man foresees the evil that is coming!

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , , , , | Posted On Tuesday, 24 June 2008 at 21:04

By Aryeh ben Abraham
The collective perspective on the news, has been occupying my thoughts considerably, and I believe I have a responsibility to pass it on to you, my beloved brethren.
Eretz Yisrael is facing the very likely probability of its most dangerous war yet. And by all counts, it will be sooner rather than later.
And it won't be just Eretz Yisrael's problem. It will touch our life in ways we can imagine and in ways we don't want to imagine, though we live miles and oceans away from the Middle East.
Frankly speaking, we abroad (Diaspora) and those of you in Eretz Yisrael - MUST take heed of the biblical warning:
A prudent man foresees the evil that is coming, and prepares himself; but the foolish carry on, and suffer from it. Proverbs 22:3
Our mounting concern for what we see and feel is coming for Eretz Yisrael and Klal Yisrael demands that we prepare, lest we fall into the category of the "foolish" described in the proverb quoted above.
Frankly speaking, Eretz Yisrael needs our support NOW.
Hizbollah's greatly enlarged arsenal sits on Eretz Yisrael's northern border. Hamas routinely sends their operatives for training in Iran and Syria and the smuggling of arms and machinery continues despite what you read in certain media.
According to experts in the field, Iran already has access to nuclear warheads, as do other Arab nations.
So therefor beloved brethren, please start praying with "Kavana" in order to soften any harsh decree against Eretz Yisrael and Klal Yisrael.
As our beloved Rabbi Lazer Brody states, it's not with weapons, latest model jet's or sofisticated weapons that we are going to overcome our enemies, but with earnest PRAYER and EMUNAH
Hashem is only requesting that we have Emunah, Pray and let Him take care of the situation.
By no means must/can we put our trust in this anti-Torah, anti-Emunah Zionist Government, they are absolutely lost and don't have the faintest idea as to what to do; from the news, you can clearly see that they are going from one mistake to another.
Hashem is our One and Only Saviour, so stop looking around and start praying, studying Torah, doing Mitzvots, don't wait until tomorrow, then it might be to late.
If you want to wake up to another day, see your kids grow up, then please start PRAYING, return to Hashem, the Gates of Forgiveness are wide open for you. Tomorrow, may just be too late.

Thou Shalt Not Forget

Holocaust Memorial Day in Israel begins at 7:30 this evening with a ceremony at Yad Vashem to be attended by government leaders, Holocaust survivors and hundreds of Israelis. President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will deliver speeches during the ceremony, and Holocaust survivors will light up six torches, in memory of the six millions murdered in the Shoah.
A ceremony attended by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni will be held at 8:00 pm at the Massuah Amphitheater in Kibbutz Tel Yitzhak. Veteran Israelis who arrived to Israel on the ship Exodus will light up the Torch of Revival.
At 10:00 am Thursday a siren will be heard throughout the entire country and Israelis will stand in absolute silence and attention for two minutes. Immediately following the siren, wreaths will be laid at the foot of the memorial for the Warsaw Ghetto uprising.
The annual ceremony 'Unto every person a name,' during which the names of Holocaust victims are read aloud, will begin at 10:30 at Yad Vashem and at the Knesset.
Zanne Farbstein was 16 years old when she was deported with her two younger sisters to Auschwitz. While working as a slave laborer, Zanne found her father's prayer shawl while sorting through the clothing of the prisoners who had been murdered in the camp. Zanne survived Auschwitz , and moved to Israel with her few surviving family members, where she began a new life. Click below to hear Zanne tell you in her own words about her experience:
In Jewish homes around the world tonight, a 24 hour memorial candle will be lit in memory of the six million who perished at the hands of the Nazis. You are most welcome to join us.
May they never be forgotten and may their memory be forever blessed.

Only Prayer

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , , , , , , , , , , | Posted On Tuesday, 22 April 2008 at 19:14

Here you have beloved brethren, the only weapon that will defeat Eretz Ysrael's enemies, it is PRAYER, not weapons, or any person or army but simple sincere PRAYER from way deep within our heart.
We have to get hold of our sword (Emunah) and start praying (Tefillah) to Hashem, in order to clean the path so that Mosiach can come and deliver Klal Ysrael from our enemies.
Rabbi Lazer Brody from Lazer Beams has a woderful spiritual explanation about the threat against Israel and how to deal with it.

Israel faces its greatest existential threat in its history.

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , | Posted On Thursday, 27 March 2008 at 22:37

Just finished reading Rabbi Lazer Brody's, Emuna News Special Report: The Sword on Israel's Jugular. Which states the following:
Israel faces its greatest existential threat in its history. At this very moment, every single city, town, and village between the northern border and Dimona is a push-button away from oblivion, for the triple menace of missiles from Syria, Hizbollah, and Iran rest like a sharp sword on Israel's Jugular.
Complete article.
Is there anything we can do? Most of us are hundreds or thousands of miles away, in our own communities; yet our very being cries out: What can we do?
Here my dear brethren are some ideas that we can start putting into action immediately.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, taught us that, yes, there is something we can do.
The Rebbe taught us the power of a mitzvah.
A mitzvah, a G-dly deed, has the power to reach deep into the core of our being--where we are all one, and the physical distance between us is of no consequence. At this core, a positive deed on our part will help bring salvation to a brother and sister in distress.
During past conflicts in the Land of Israel, and during times of danger for the Jewish people, the Rebbe made practical suggestions of mitzvot that would elicit G-d's blessings and protection.
Let us not underestimate the power of good! With a single good deed on our part, here and now, we can each contribute toward the victory and safety of our fellow Jews in Israel.
Take a minute to do one or more of the following. You can make a difference!
Torah study Say a prayer for the soldiers of the IDF, and for all residents of the Holy Land (suggestion: Psalm 20 is traditionally said in times of distress). Charity and acts of kindness: Put a coin in a charity box, give a gift of money to a fellow in need or to a charitable cause, or extend a helping hand to someone who needs it. Tefillin: If you already put on tefillin every day, encourage a friend to do so. If you don't yet, now is a good time to start!. Mezuzah: If you don't yet have a mezuzah get one now! If you already do have one, it may be time to have it checked to ensure that the words on the parchment have not faded. Tzitzit: start wearing tzitzit even during the night, and even while sleeping.

As Rabbi Brody Say's "Let's invoke Divine compassion by turning the tides of assimilation and spiritual contamination with a worldwide return to Hashem. Our lives depend on it".

'The entire country is in need of mercy'

Posted by Aryeh ben Avraham | Labels: , , , , , , | Posted On Friday, 7 March 2008 at 17:01

The head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Yaakov Shapira was the first to speak:

"We are all in need of mercy, the entire country," Shapira cried.

"Pray for all of us and give good counsel to the families, to the anguished friends."

Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar was weeping as well. "We have paid with our best boys, who were sitting by their talmuds … torah was their entire world, they are the roses that have been picked … and God will have mercy on us for their merit.

Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski also addressed the crowd:

"Lord, nations have invaded your land, desecrated your holy hall, eight of our sweet loved ones, may God avenge their blood, who only yesterday were living amongst us, are no longer with us. Their lives were severed by lowly murderers … but the murderer did not wish to target them alone, but rather each and every one of us, each and every resident of the holy city of Jerusalem.

For many years our enemies have been trying to ruin our lives, to harm us as much as they can. Jerusalem has paid heavily in blood, and the long long list was joined last night by our eight sons."
